Mar 10, AM in response to f8ster In response to f8ster.The Volume bar showed up one day and will not go away and or be muted or lowered! I have tried everything! I have tried just about every resolution offered in these forums. I have tried these solutions recently Right click the Speaker icon in the bottom right corner by your time. Click Playback Devices. Click Properties. Click the Advanced tab on the Properties window. Change the Default Format drop-down to the highest quality.
Apply the properties. Click OK to close the properties window. Click OK to close the Playback Devices. I recommend you to uninstall the audio driver and reinstall it.
Follow below steps to uninstall the driver. Locate audio driver you want to uninstall, right-click it, and select Uninstall. I tried a few others but they didnt work neither and they were longer to list. Quick note, I did notice that the volume bar did go away during the uninstall process, but when reinstalled, it came right back!

Did you manage to resolve it? I'm having the exact same issue. What I did was mute the volume and left it mute, so that the volume box disappeared from my screen. Obviously, I can work without that annoying box hung up on the screen, but can't use any multimedia at all I also installed the driver for my logitech optical mouse even though it's been working fine without the driver installation because I have the feeling that the usb mouse connection is somewhat the cause.
After a few weeks, I just tried to unmute it. It is working. The box is gone now. But, I'm not sure if the problem will happen again I had the same issue. It wasn't software related. I noticed that when I took the bottom cover off, the issue went away. I could also press down in that area and cause the volume to stick in the down position. The volume control slider is stuck at the top left corner on my screen at 0. If I disable the keyboard by taking the batteries out and install another wireless keyboard with a receiver plugged in one of the USB ports everything works well.

Follow us LenovoSupport on Facebook and Twitter! I am experiencing the same issue with my Bp. Yesterday I had an app running on full screen, which I never usually do. I therefore used the all-in-one's volume controls on the device, rather than the windows ones, for the first time in ages.
This seems to have overridden the usual control mechanism. Now I have the windows 8 volume control stuck in the top left hand corner. I can move it up and down but it will either just go straight to 0 ordepending on what control has been set by the hardware control. The volume controller in the toolbar is also displaying the same problem. The touchscreen is also now suffering from a few quirks.
I've downloaded all the latest drivers but these haven't remedied the fault. Vari - it's quite possible that the solution to my problem could be the solution to yours too. Hope someone can help. United Kingdom. I bought an K which came with the wireless silver silk keyboard. All worked perfectly until yesterday or the day before, when the all-in-one volume control buttons up, down, and mute suddenly stopped working.
All other keys seem to still work fine on, including the IVT silverish button just beside the volume buttons. I know I can still use the Windows volume control to adjust volume, but the keyboard ones were super handy, and it's frustrating that they are no longer working.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, both the driver suggested here, and the updated one for 64bit Windows 8. It's possible that the volume control buttons may have gone defective that's why they're no longer working. If you have the Bp with the Lenovo silk wireless keyboard, have you tried unpairing the keyboard to see if the volume control disappears from the screen?
If the issue remains, You may need to contact lenovo for service.Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question? I did not drop mine or do anything else unusual. There are no dents or even scratches on my case. I keep itin a leather book style cover all the time and use a padded case when I take it anywhere. It was working perfectly, had it since May. Now suddenly the up volume button does not function.
Down works fine. I went to Settings first and found that though I hadn't changed it, the selection for physical volume buttons was set to no. I turned it back to yes, hoping it would solve the issue, but no luck. I rebooted and then the volume was back at full, but the icon would not fade from the screen. When I pushed up, nothing happened. When I used the mute slider, the icon flashed the mute icon, but wouldn't stay muted and the icon remained.Ios 11 zip file download for android
When I pushed down, it worked as usual and the icon finally faded, but up won't bring it back and doesn't increase the volume.
